College systems: quickstart guide for students: Moodle

What is Moodle?

Moodle is the College Virtual Learning Environment (VLE).  If your lecturer is using Moodle, this is where you will find your online course materials, resources and activities. You may use Moodle to complete quizzes, upload your assignments and course work, interact with your lecturer and other students in your class, and ask questions using the Forum feature.

Where is it?

You'll find Moodle at https://moodle.nptcgroup.ac.uk/

You'll be visiting often so we recommend that you add it to your browser favourites or bookmarks or save it to your home screen/desktop. (Methods will vary depending on your browser and device settings.)

You can also find a link on the college website: www.nptcgroup.ac.uk

Troubleshooting

If you are unable to log on, check the following:

  • your username is correct and in the format 123456

  • your password is correct; passwords are case sensitive

  • there is no blank space at the start of your username or password

  • you are using a compatible browser such as Chrome, Edge or Safari.
