Chromebook

Chromebooks are a small laptop intended mainly for using online apps and browsing the internet. Chromebook lid with icon

They all run on an operating system called Chrome OS designed by Google.

Different manufacturers have produced different hardware that can support Chrome OS.

If you received your Chromebook as part of the NPTC digital loans scheme, it is likely you have an HP Chromebook 14a G5. You can read about its specifications on the HP website.

Chromebooks have several advantages:

they are lightweight and easy to transport
they have in-built accessibility features including a screen reader
they have excellent battery life
the keyboard and interface have been streamlined to create maximum ease in using the internet

Printing in college

How can I send a document from my Chromebook to a college printer?

Your Chromebook should have automatically downloaded and installed the Mobility Print app.

Press the Everything Button
Type Mobility Print
Tap on the app icon to run it
Go to the document you want to print
Print as normal - just make sure that Print Queue is selected as the destination when you send a document to print.
