Hedd Wyn: The Lost War PoetDocumentary about the life and work of Welsh poet Hedd Wyn. Hedd Wyn was born and raised in Liverpool, where he was trained to fight, and then onwards to France and Belgium, where he was killed in action on 31 July 1917. In France and Belgium, the poet’s final weeks, days and minutes are retraced, a period during which he finished his successful poem Yr Arwr (The Hero). Featuring fascinating first-hand accounts, interviews recorded during the 60s and 70s with family and friends, and contemporary archive material from World War I.
