Welcome to a new year at NPTC Group Libraries. It's been a strange summer but library staff haven't just been soaking up the sun in the back garden; we've been hard at work creating our new collection of LibGuides to help you to quickly and easily find the information you need. If you're reading this, then you've obviously found one of our guides: browse the full collection at NPTC LibGuides.
We can't open the libraries for normal usage just yet but you are able to borrow books using our Click and Collect service. If you borrowed books from us before the lockdown, thanks for keeping them safe. From Wednesday 2nd September books can be returned without needing to come to the library; simply drop them in the return boxes in the main reception at Afan, Brecon, Neath or Newtown College. Also from 2nd September, we will be able to offer limited access to the libraries if you need to use a PC or need a quiet place to work. Visits will be strictly by appointment only; there will be no walk-in access. To make an appointment e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org
We've decided that we will no longer be charging fines if you return your library books late. If you forget to return books we will still send you reminders by e-mail or SMS but there will be no charge. The only time we'll ask you to pay is if you lose a book or it gets damaged whilst in your care. In those cases we will need to charge you the cost of buying a new copy for the library.
